Suicide.
A word that pangs all of us. It’s so uncomfortable.
How can someone want to end their life?
“It’s far from rare.” - Jordan Patterson
Depression is SUCH a prevalent part of the western experience. The reasons are obvious to healers, but also hidden in plain sight for everyone else.
I started a dry fast on Dec 30 to break the covenant I had unknowingly entered with the spirit of death that was eager to wipe me off the face of the planet.
They actually almost convinced me that a transition would be the fastest, more easeful way to enter this “New World” I’ve been dreaming of.
Real talk.
Joseph Awuah-Darko, the Ghanaian artist who charged that Obama portraitist Kehinde Wiley had raped him, has publicly announced his plans to end his life through assisted suicide (euthanasia).
My question to us is how much human value will we lose before we collectively reverse the curse?
In the above voice note (The S-Word, Part I), I explore how fostering intimacy with Christ has reversed this curse for me, I’m claiming permanently.
If you’re experiencing suicidal ideation, please watch this, call 988 and/or visit an Emergency Room and tell them how you’re feeling. The vnote on this post should also help you, but note, it’s not somber.

PS: some scriptures on how much Christ is obsessed with you (KJV unless otherwise noted):
"The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee." Jeremiah 31:3
"Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you…” James 4:8
"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)" Ephesians 2:4-5
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28-30
"For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee." Isaiah 54:10
"For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." John 3:17
"For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him." Psalm 103:11
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
PPS: I don’t share this stuff lightly. Obedience is key. It will remain on the free tier until tomorrow night. xo
